Developing a system that can run throught hurricane force winds and not stop producing power is no mean feat. The Proven system works with nature and not against it like upwind turbines - the result is that you can get the most out of even the severest of winds and maximise on your investment.
The root of each blade has a reinforced rubber hinge and a spring, which helps to hold the blade in position whilst in operation. As the wind gets stronger it pushes the blades back and allows the turbine to protect itself by reducing the surface area exposed to the wind. As the wind dies down, the blades open back oiut. The spring tension helps to govern when this bending takes place adn can be adjusted on site of optimal performatnce. Unlike larger scale wind turbines and upwind turbines which have to stop producing in high winds, our turbines can run through hurricanes,typhoons and cyclones whilst still outputting their maximum power.
